BRADFIELD PARISH ARCHIVES
The Archivist is usually available on Thursdays from 9:30am to 3:30pm. If you are travelling any distance please ring to confirm the Archivist is available.
The archives hold an extensive collection of records and maps dating from the 18th century. The records are a unique collection of records relating to the Civil Parish of Bradfield and as far as is known they do not exist in any other form.
Many of the archive documents have now been digitised and are now available on the internet at the Bradfield Archives web site. This was made possible by funding from East Peak Innovation Partnership (EPIP) and South Yorkshire Community Foundation (SYCF). During 2009 after funding was obtained to digitise the archive records they were scanned as on-line images.
Volunteers have been busy indexing the images by people and place names to make them more searchable. If you would like to volunteer to help with this project please contact the archivist.
The images are available for anyone world-wide to research and copies of these images may be purchased - please contact the archivist for details.
Once this phase has been completed more images will be added.
To view the records already on-line, visit the Bradfield Archives web site.
The archivist can research on your behalf, for which a charge for time and copies is applicable. Please contact the archivist for details.
The archivist also attends local fairs/galas during the year.
