Burial Options at Birtin Cemetery

Earthen Burial Plots
Traditional earthen graves are available for full burials. These plots allow for a coffin burial within a designated grave space and can be marked with a memorial headstone in accordance with the cemetery regulations.
Woodland Burial Plots
Woodland burials provide a more natural and environmentally sensitive option. These plots are located within a designated woodland area of the cemetery and are intended to maintain a natural setting. Memorialisation may be more discreet in keeping with the surroundings.
Ashes Plots
Designated plots are available for the burial of cremated remains. These smaller plots allow families to inter ashes and mark the space with an appropriate memorial, subject to cemetery regulations.
Woodland Ashes Plots
Woodland ashes plots allow cremated remains to be laid to rest within the natural woodland burial area. These plots provide a peaceful and environmentally conscious resting place within a natural landscape.
Memorial Niches
Memorial niches are available for the placement of cremated remains within a dedicated structure. Each niche can be sealed with a commemorative plaque, providing a lasting tribute.
